Reflective Urban, a set on Flickr.
Recently I finished a collection of reflective abstracts discovered in my travels through Downtown Seattle and Bellevue. This is a new concept I wanted to explore, to challenge my way of seeing. A thanks to the students of my Spring Beg. Digital class, for opening my eyes to the unusual and original.
Heat Wave on Flickr.
This pic is from a class field trip I attended with a group of photography students. I was a teacher’s assistant for a group of teenagers. What I learned from this experience is that kids are beautiful people. You can teach them, but ultimately they end up teaching you. There is an inner child alive in all of us, no matter how old you get…
Rain Drops on Flickr.
Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass… It’s about learning to dance in the rain.
Sky Painting on Flickr.
On a whim I drove over to the beach last night. It has been awhile since I had heard the sound of the ocean and glanced across the endless waves. This was the last photo I took as the sun went down. So peaceful…
Winter Moon 2 on Flickr.
I like this shot I captured of the winter moon. It was apogee on this night; the point at which it is furthest away from the earth. Kind of ironic since it looks so huge in the blue evening sky. I am having fun with the new zoom lens that Santa gave me, the EF70-300mm.
A new diptych I just created for photography class, using two of my macro images of an Easter Lilly.
Nature on White on Flickr.
I love this image, just the simplicity and graphic quality that it captures. After I took this, I became a believer that nature can be beautiful even without sun.
Huffington on Flickr.
This is one of my favorite new cats who showed up at the Purrfect Pals Shelter, in Bellevue Petsmart. He is a really sweet and lovable guy, who just wants to lay on your lap any chance he gets. After he recovers from an infection, he will be available for adoption.
See more of my photos from the Purrfect Pals cat shelter, by browsing a new book of cat photography for sale on Blurb; Purrfect Pals, The Cats We Love Vol.1. It is available in print and as a free ebook download.
Last class project; self-portraiture. I took this next to a window in natural light. A remembrance of my summer glow, before it fades.

Classmate’s portraits lit with daylight fluorescent soft boxes in the studio. I am liking the dramatic contrasts I can achieve with different light.
